UPCOMING EVENTS
Sunday, November 17, 2024, 8-9:15pm EST:
A Queer Nigun Project Cheshvan Circle
Led by Aly Halpert and Rachel Chang
Cheshvan is the one month in the Jewish calendar in which there are no holidays – the Jewish calendar gives us a moment to breathe and reflect after the rush of the start of the Jewish year.
This year, we emerge into the month of Cheshvan, a month of rest amidst deep fear and heartbreak, looking toward a scary and unstable future, holding ongoing grief and pain from a devastating year behind us. Rest may feel hard to access – and yet we need moments of breath to stay grounded and move forward. Singing calms our nervous systems, reminds us of how to breathe in rhythm, connects us inward and outward…
Join us online for our Cheshvan nigun circle, a chance to take a break from words and be held by melody.
